Engineer Specializations & Drone Fleets
Drone upgrades are cheaper. Courier now leads to Carrier Prototype, replacing Dragon Courier, then the 1,800-part Battleship. Its new 4,000-part Dreadnought upgrade launches 20 sorting drones per ship, with four bundle guns retained.
Engineer now chooses between Overclock (40% then 60% faster work within one row/gap; 240 then 520 parts) and Foreman (25% faster work within two then three rows/gaps; 280 then 640 parts). Each branch has two distinct forms. Only the strongest covering aura applies.
Guide tower tabs show base-form thumbnails, with space for every row above the upgrade tree.

Engineer & Drone Battleship
Versus loadouts now scroll with the mouse wheel or a swipe, keeping match controls clear of the machine cards.
The new Engineer boosts nearby towers by 25% within one placement row/gap, including diagonals and paired spots. Its 180-part support aura does not stack, and selecting it highlights its coverage.
A new 1,800-part Drone Master branch commands two ships, with four sorting drones and two bundle guns per ship. Drones deliver across all lanes; the guns untie bundles within 300px, reloading independently. The fleet cannot carry metal or damage armor.

Smarter Machines & Dragon Deliveries
Metal Arm upgrades are cheaper: Scrap 160, Heavy 180, and Batch Magnet 200 parts. Further tiers cost 280, 400, 520, and 640 parts.
Every Staff Box branch and tier gets a distinct building: dispatch towers, bell academies, and conveyor hubs. The same forms appear in previews and on the factory floor.
Sword Master cuts now earn half score plus their existing parts, without building combo. Revealing armor and damaging giants do not award cut score.
Drone Master now has faster flights and independent recovery per drone, without the duplicated return delay. Courier Drone can upgrade into Dragon Courier: an operator commands a winged delivery dragon across all lanes. Smart Eater adds a per-machine selector for bundles, big boxes, or normal boxes. Bundle disposal gives no payout; boxes retain normal sort rewards.

Clearer Tower Placement & Reach
Placement previews show the selected machine, including its upgraded form when moving it. Hover over or select a tower to see its reach as a circle, lane band, or rectangle. Machines without a targeting range explain their role instead.
Fixed the clipped first-place podium and aligned the top-three cards, including entries with Play Seed buttons.

Fewer Upgrades, Bigger Transformations
We're considering three meaningful upgrades per tower path, with larger changes to working parts, silhouettes, and abilities. Draft prices are roughly 2×, 6×, and 15× the tower's base cost, subject to playtesting.
Proposed Blaster paths: Rapid Fire for frequent nearby hits; Siege Cannon for slow, heavy container damage; Shockwave for groups of armored packages; and Unpacker for breaking bundles and sorting their contents. Each would have a distinct machine design and tradeoff.
This redesign is a proposal. Upgrade counts, prices, and Blaster paths have not changed.
